Title: Hurricane Rebuild: Screen Room Restoration in Brevard County

Rebuilt aluminum carport with vinyl siding after hurricane damage

When last October’s hurricane tore away half of this carport structure, we stepped in to not just rebuild, but improve. This project required rebuilding three-quarters of the structure while carefully repairing and bringing the remaining portion up to current building codes.

What makes this restoration unique is our use of vinyl siding on the upper sections and around the bottom perimeter, creating a more finished and aesthetically pleasing appearance than typical aluminum carports. The white vinyl siding adds a residential touch that complements the home while providing extra weather protection.

The rebuilt structure now exceeds its original strength, meeting all current Florida building codes for wind resistance. The customer is so pleased with the transformation that they’re now considering adding windows to create an even more versatile semi-enclosed space.

This project demonstrates our ability to not only restore hurricane-damaged structures but to enhance them, turning disaster recovery into an opportunity for improvement.

Whether you need a simple carport repair or a complete ground-up rebuild with an insulated roof, Haggetts Aluminum delivers quality craftsmanship across Brevard County and Central Florida.
