Kissimmee Screen Room Project

Kissimmee Screen Room ProjectWelcome to Haggetts Aluminum and thank you for visiting our blog and website. We like to keep our online visitors informed on news, tips and advice concerning aluminum projects here in Central Florida and the Orlando area. Today we would like to present a Kissimmee screen room project that we finished up the end of May.

As you can see from the photo, there is a partial pitched screened roof across the entire front portion. The technique for this look is similar to that used for pool screen enclosures.

On this screen room enclosure project we added concrete rather than leaving the existing flooring. The client was rather happy and liked the idea of a screened top instead of a solid roof.

The entire screen room project took 3 days and we are happy the customer is pleased with the outcome.

Are you in Cocoa Florida in Brevard County or other Atlantic coastal county cities of Central Florida and have a screen room or other aluminum project that needs completion? Contact us today at 321-978-5500 to discuss a potential project or to set an appointment for an estimate.

Lockheed Martin Aluminum Roof Project

Lockheed Martin Aluminum Roof ProjectThank you for visiting the Haggetts Aluminum blog and website. We provide sales, service, installation repair and manufacture clamshell aluminum awnings, storage sheds, carports, aluminum railing and much more. Today we are going to explore a Lockheed Martin aluminum roof project completed in Orlando, Florida last week.

Lockheed Martin is an American global aerospace, defense, security and advanced technology company with worldwide interests. It was formed by the merger of Lockheed Corporation with Martin Marietta in March 1995.

The Lockheed Martin company put in new turnstiles at the entrance of 3 different locations. These were in need of coverage to protect employees and others upon entry from bad weather such as rain. Our team at Haggetts Aluminum built aluminum roofs over the turnstiles so that the employees would be covered from the weather when going thru them.

The photo above shows the completed roof over the turnstiles at Lockheed Martin, Orlando, Florida. This aluminum roof project took four days to complete with a crew of three workers. The project was rather complicated due to the high security and difficult conditions around the turnstiles.

Benefits of a Screen Room

screen room projects
Welcome to Haggetts Aluminum and thank you for visiting our blog and website. We specialize in the sales, service, manufacture, installation and repair of clamshell aluminum awnings, storage sheds, carports, aluminum railing and today’s topic, screen rooms. Let’s explore the advantages and benefits of having a screen room on your home.

The obvious advantage to a screen room is to keep out the unwanted pests such as mosquitoes or forest animals that are not only bothersome but could carry unwanted diseases and potentially harm your family and pets. Without a screen room, bugs could be a nuisance if you should decide to serve a meal outside.

A screen room can provide additional areas to tidy up the living quarters and increase the amount of available storage space. Add a play area for the kids so they get to enjoy the fresh air. The shade and ventilation of a screen room is another great advantage of enjoying a screen room.

Screen rooms provide damage protection to your home. An extra “buffer area” in front of your home’s front porch area deters falling leaves, dirt, debris and trash and even tree branches from causing damage.

Contact Haggetts Aluminum at 321-978-5500 or for an estimate on aluminum projects in Cocoa Florida in Brevard County or other Atlantic coastal county cities of Central Florida. We offer shade protection with awnings, screen rooms, and carports or carport covers, plus added storage space buildings for your Central Florida home or mobile home.

Orlando Loading Dock Aluminum Roof Project

Orlando Loading Dock Aluminum Roof Project
Thank you for visiting Haggetts Aluminum’s blog and website. We like to keep our online visitors posted on our latest projects and provide tips and advice concerning aluminum awnings, screen rooms, carports, storage sheds and railings.

Today we would like to inform our readers about the latest project in Orlando installing aluminum roofs on the loading docks of this large warehouse building.

We custom built these 46″ x 600′ aluminum roof over each of their loading docks in order to keep rain off the ramps when the trucks back up to them for loading.

The entire job took approximately 12 working days with 3 men working off 3 man lifts here in Orlando. To assure stability, we installed heavy .50 aluminum on the panels and placed a heavy 2 inch square tube support arms every 6 feet.

These aluminum roofs are sturdy and strong enough to withstand Florida’s tough weather conditions. The customer was very pleased with the finished product, and that is our ultimate goal.

If you have an aluminum project that needs to be tackled, contact us today at 321-978-5500 if you are in Cocoa Florida in Brevard County or other Atlantic coastal county cities of Central Florida. North Port Florida Acrylic Windows Project

North Port Florida Acrylic Windows ProjectHere is a great way to add a large area to your home. Review this project we recently completed in North Port Florida where we added acrylic windows to this room addition.

On this job, we replaced their 3 inch pan roof with a 3 inch insulated roof where we then installed acrylic windows and a new storm door.

Acrylic windows really give the room a special look. We are happy that another satisfied customer can enjoy this living space and control the temperature far better than with a screen room addition.

The entire job took 3 days and this family now has an almost livable room that can be easily cooled with air conditioning. This really is a great way to add a large area to your home.

Storm Damage Protection

strong wind
Thank you for visiting the Haggetts Aluminum blog and website. We like to provide our online readers with news, tips and advice concerning aluminum related product projects such as screenrooms, car ports, storage sheds and aluminum awnings here in Central Florida. Today we would like discuss clamshell aluminum awnings and storm damage protection.

Haggetts Aluminum believes clamshell aluminum awnings on your mobile home can provide that little extra protection from storm damage that could be just enough to keep you safe.

Although some storms are so severe that no amount of preparation can secure a mobile home here in Florida, precautions can be taken to preserve and protect what you have.

Statistics show that any opening in a mobile home can compromise its integrity and leave it subject to being irrepairably damaged from high winds. Windows are the most common parts of the home to be damaged by larger storms, so protecting these areas is imperative.

Clamshell aluminum awnings cover doors and windows to give you more confidence when the winds pick up, though even in when locked and secured, there is always a risk of damage during storms. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, so be sure to take the proper precautions when heavier storms pose a threat. Bring in any loose objects on the lawn, double check that doors and awnings are latched down, and secure any loose or problematic panels.

Recent Kissimmee Screen Room Project

Kissimmee Screen Room ProjectWelcome back to the Haggetts Aluminum blog and website. We like to keep our readers informed about our latest projects and news in our industry. Have a look at our latest Kissimmee screen room project recently completed.

These photos to the left are from a screen room built in Kissimmee, Florida. The project itself took about 3 days from start to finish and was really a small cost for such a big addition to the home.

The homeowner desired an insulated roof being they want to add windows in this area in the future. We installed 3 inch insulation to this roof which peaks at 12 feet high. The space itself is 9 feet by 22 feet but is really roomy due to the high peak.

We enclosed the adjoining room shown in these photos, producing a nice addition to the home. These pictures exhibit the type of quality work you can expect from Haggetts.

Special Note: As of March 1, 2018 we purchased a building in Cocoa Florida and moved sales, production, and operations to Brevard County on the Atlantic coast of Florida. We will no longer solicit business from Kissimmee.

Keep posted on my blog and website for more news, tips and advice concerning aluminum projects in Central Florida. Contact us today for an estimate in the Central Florida coastal area, and as always, thank you again for stopping by!
