Davenport Aluminum Playground Cover

We like to keep our website visitors informed about our recent projects here in the Central Florida and Orlando areas. Today we would like to present this Davenport Aluminum Playground Cover project we completed in October.

This is a free-standing cover of 15′ x 30′ structural grade aluminum. Because of the location, this structure was zoned as a commercial structure, meaning we had to use materials that were heavier that usual.

This free-standing cover was built in a housing development next to their new playground and will provide shade for the parents while the kids are playing. This structure could also act as a gazebo and be a good place for birthday parties or family gatherings.

Special Note: Effective March 1, 2018 we purchased a building and relocated all sales, production, and operations to Cocoa Florida in Brevard County on the Atlantic coast of Florida. We no longer offer new sales to the Kissimmee area.

Kissimmee Large Carport Addition

Thank you for visiting the Haggetts Aluminum blog and website! We want to keep you up to date with the latest projects we have completed for our happy customers. Today we would like to introduce this Kissimmee large carport addition.

This photograph to the left is a large carport we added onto a garage measuring 18 feet by 31 feet. The entire project took about a day and a half to complete.

To prevent any possibility of leaks between the two roofs, we tied the roof directly into the garage roof. Since the driveway was pavement and you cannot anchor to it, we had to bury the post directly into the ground. First we cut out the pavement, sunk each post about a foot into the ground, then cemented them in place.

The entire carport addition turned out really nice and we made another happy customer!

Haggetts New Slatted Awnings

Have a look at the scrolling photos to the left. These slatted awnings have really seemed to be a big hit lately. The main attraction seems to be the low cost, since they are considerably less than contemporary clamshell aluminum awnings.

If you are only looking for shade, then this is the way to go. These awnings cannot really be put down during a storm and do not serve as any type of protection to your windows other than shade.

One advantage to these new slatted awnings is that when you are inside your home looking out, you can see through them, hence the name, “see views”. These slatted awnings add an appealing look to the home and provide appropriate amounts of shade to the home.

These slatted awnings take a little longer to install since we have to assemble them on site, but again, the cost remains lower than the clamshell aluminum awnings. These new slatted awnings are limited to 4 colors, white, ivory, brown and black.

24′ x 20′ St Cloud Screen Room Project

Welcome to the Haggetts Aluminum blog and website! We like to inform our readers about news, tips and advice concerning aluminum products here in Orlando and Central Florida. Today we would like to present our readers with another St Cloud screen room project.

These scrolling pics to the left are of another screen room in St. Cloud that we just built last week. This project was also a pretty good size, 24′ x 20′ built with a gabled 3″ insulated roof.

Originally we were going to just build a flat roof but the owner had decided that it would look better with a gable.

This screen room project took about 3 days with 2 men on it for the most part. The concrete was poured on this one for a package price. A few days later we returned to stain the concrete floor for the owner.

Our most recent St Cloud screen room installation turned out really nice and the owner was very pleased with the result of the entire project.

36′ x 22′ St Cloud Screen Room Project

These photos to the left show a rather large screen room we built with a crew of 3. The entire project took 4 days to build and turned out to the customer’s satisfaction.

The actual screen room size was 36′ x 22′ . The roof was a 3″ insulated roof which we actually had to put a carrier beam across the middle of the the screen room roof because the span was to big for the roof panels to keep from bowing.

On this screen room project, there were a few custom framing parts to consider. We had to build the screen room around the air conditioning unit in the corner of the room, so not to cover it up.

Also they had their storage shed door facing into the room so that way we could create an access to the shed from inside the screen room. The entire project really turned out nice and the homeowner was very pleased with the room.
