Lakeland Large Awning Installation

Welcome back to the Haggetts Aluminum blog and website. We keep you up to date on news, tips and advice concerning aluminum awnings, screen rooms, storage sheds and car ports. Here is our latest project, a large awning installation in Lakeland, Florida.

This 23 foot by 7 foot clamshell aluminum awning was built for this home’s front in Lakeland, Florida. The concern was that the wooden deck this aluminum awning was attached to was built over an existing septic tank, therefore we couldn’t build anything permanent to it.

This single piece clamshell aluminum awning can be folded down against the home if necessary. This makes it versatile in case of a storm or the need for privacy.

SPECIAL NOTE: As of 2018 we relocated to Cocoa Florida and no longer service Lakeland or Polk County. We perform installation, service, repair and restoration for clamshell aluminum awnings in Brevard County or other Atlantic coastal county cities of Central Florida.

Kissimmee Aluminum Railing Project

Welcome to the Haggetts Aluminum blog and website where we provide aluminum product related news, tips and advice for Brevard County or other Atlantic coastal county cities of Florida. Today’s post concerns a recent aluminum railing project we completed in Central Florida.

These photos display 80 foot of aluminum railings we installed on a residential home. These aluminum railings can be done in either brown or white, are very sturdy, and look nice. One advantage of these aluminum railings over wood is that they will last a long time because they will not rot, yet they are about the same cost as wooden railings.

Recently, we are doing more and more of these aluminum railing installations because insurance companies are requiring homeowners to have them, as in this case.

This aluminum railing project took about 8 hours to install with a crew of 2 men. Although many applications are not this large, we can handle any size job needed to meet insurance requirements.

Lake Wales Aluminum Awning Project

Haggetts Aluminum offers our customers in Cocoa Florida in Brevard County or other Atlantic coastal county cities of Central Florida custom sized clamshell aluminum awnings. This extra large aluminum awning was installed by my awning builder Jay, and is our most recent clamshell aluminum awning project.

Here is a project in Lake Wales, Florida, that took our crew of 3 most of the day to complete. We installed a total of 10 green aluminum awnings on this mobile home. These aluminum awnings can also be used decoratively and for shade. This particular customer wanted the awnings for security during summer vacations more than anything else.

We came up with a new way of locking these aluminum awning down with a paddle lock in a secured position. Consider using this idea to protect a set of French doors or large windows on your home or mobile home here in Orlando and Central Florida. Extra Large Aluminum Awnings

Haggetts Aluminum offers custom sized aluminum awnings including these extra large aluminum awnings for our customers here in the Central Florida area. Review this recent large aluminum awning project completed for another happy customer here in the Orlando area of Central Florida.

This Zephyrhills aluminum awning construct took about a day to build from start to finish including installation and is being used as a patio cover. This particular aluminum awning is 17 feet long by 8 feet wide and approximately 150 lbs.

These extra large aluminum awnings are generally used in situations where the mobile home or building owner are not allowed to build permanent structures on their home or business. This need is for an awning that could eventually be removed.

In this particular situation, a large clamshell aluminum awning such as this is too large to use the traditional mounting system. In such cases, a 2 inch by 2 inch post could be used to support the awning instead of more common arm that is used.

St Cloud Aluminum Patio Cover Installation

The photos on the left show a 2013 aluminum patio project completed by Haggetts Aluminum in St Cloud, Florida. This patio roof was built at the St Cloud Animal Shelter and is being used as a break area for employees or for visiting guests.

This large freestanding aluminum aluminum patio provides shade and protection from the sun and rain and took our team at Haggetts only one day to build on site.

By using an existing slab of concrete, this patio cover installation project went off without a hitch. These types of structures are rather wind resistant and great for protection from the elements.
