Haggetts Aluminum Carport Installation

Welcome to Haggetts Aluminum’s most recent project for a customer here in the Central Florida area. These photos from various angles show the procedure to complete an installation for this large free-standing aluminum carport approximately 30 feet by 50 feet long.
Prior to these photos shown here, we had to outline the carport to fabricate the frame. The first row of photos show how we began the preparation for this custom carport’s installation. With all the materials in place for the posts, covering, and even a drainage system, we continued on to the next steps of assembling this roof as seen in the next rows of photos.

In this case, slats were used to create what is known as a pan roof on this carport. In the set of photos at the very bottom you can see the finished product that fits seamlessly to our customer’s home. The most inexpensive way build a carport for your home we recommend would be by using 3 inch aluminum riser pans for the roof instead of insulated panels.

Give Thanks For Aluminum Awning Benefits

Haggetts Aluminum awnings are very easy to clean and well worth the effort. Mild soap and water is sufficient for cleaning them every 3-6 months, and will stand up to professional pressure washing service, also.
For caulking compounds, tar, and so on, use mineral spirits in reasonable amounts, applying directly to the foreign substance then rinsing the area thoroughly with water immediately after cleaning. For a heavier dirt accumulation a solution of detergent (e.g. Tide®) and water is recommended.
Aluminum Awnings are very durable and can be an important factor to protect your home from the elements that can cause damage such as wind, rain, heat and sunlight. Central Florida is a well-known area for heavy storms, high winds, tornadoes and hurricanes, so we find it necessary to “batten down the hatches” rather often.

Moisture and humidity are a concern here in Central Florida. When we use stainless steel hardware on all our aluminum awning installations, you can rest assured that we are using top quality corrosion resistant hardware.

Rusting is the common term for the corrosion of iron and its alloys, such as steel. Oxidation can lead to a chain reaction of damaged and corroded metal. Using stainless steel or plated hardware prevents this from being the case.

Eliminate Clutter With a Custom Storage Shed

Is your home filled with clutter and miscellaneous odds and ends that you never use anymore? Sort out and organize the things that you don’t use every day with a custom built shed. A storage shed is a cost-effective solution to store those items that seem to clutter up your home.

A storage shed is a great place to park your lawnmower, tools and lawn furniture when not in use. Don’t let your garden be spoilt by unsightly piles of empty compost bags and plant pots. A storage shed is a great way to make more room in your house and garage.

Another great idea is to clear out the garage and organize the majority of it with a storage shed. Enjoy the relief of a neatly organized garage with space enough so you can finally park your car in there again.

Before building a shed we consider how much space you will need to store all of your equipment. Think about the extra space needed to access everything safely and easily once it’s stowed away. Consider the door opening as well. For example, you may need a double door on your shed in order to get a riding lawnmower in and out.

Installing a work bench is a great idea when considering a storage shed. Take your workshop projects outside and have a comfortable place to do them. Consider running an extension cord for lighting or a fan.

Garden sheds are generally made of metal, wood or plastic vinyl, and choosing the appropriate material is important. Wood works well if it fits in with your current scheme and can be stained or painted. Aluminum sheds are our most popular and require the least maintenance. Aluminum is weatherproof, doesn’t rot, is fireproof, insect proof and rodent proof. Plastic or vinyl is a good choice for a lightweight and durable, reasonably priced storage shed.
